Melina Kannakaredes was raised in New York city. She's appeared in Dr. Sydney Hansen (NBC) and Dr. Lane Hunter (The Resident) in both medical dramas on TV. The actress also won acclaim for her television debut breakthrough as Eleni Andros Cooper on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light. She has appeared in 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Lightning Thief and Snitch. She is reportedly working on a movie adaptation of Elisabeth KublerRoss's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides the team who wrote the movie Immortals. In addition, she is filming the upcoming show Gods & Heroes.
